Say yes to the re-dressBack in my stylist days, my number one rule was always "don't buy it if you can't think of at least three ways to wear it"! And now as I work more and more with brides, i wondered why can't that same rule apply with a wedding dress! Something Old, Something BlueFor this look, I styled this vintage wedding dress revamped by Thrift Mobb, , with ripped jeans, designer shoes and Cherné Altovise Jewelry of course. Overall taking something old and something blue to a new level! Thrift Mobb, a brand that focuses on recreating the hottest trends with exclusive vintage pieces, hit two current trends with this revamp: off the shoulder and sheer by removing layers upon layers of satin, lining, tulle, etc until only this sheer tulle layer was left! AMAZING! Something New Off the shoulder tops and dresses, which are all the rage right now can be hard to accessorize especially if you're not into boho jewels or chokers, but luckily with this fabric I was able to pair our Finding Prayer Collar Necklace from our zen collection and our new matching earrings with this look for an even more up to date and trendy feel. Riding the fence on traditionsNow I'm aware that this look was created with a vintage dress which you probably don't own and definitely won't be wearing for your big day. So if your not a bride or thrifter here are some ways you can still make use of this idea! 1. Rock the look: I'm not a bride but I would totally go grab a dress, recreate this look, and rock it at a festival, event, or even date night! Like I stated before off the shoulder and sheer skirts are in so what's the difference you'll have the better version with more support from old school corset! 2. Recreate this look with your mothers dress for engagement pics, save the date or bridal shower! If you're that bride who's ducking the hard conversation of "mom I'm not wearing your dress", this is a good way to make her happy but still putting your spin on it. If your mom was married in the 70's or 80's then I'm sure the dress has some great elements like this dress you just have maybe pluck away layers upon layers and keep what you like! 3. Start a new tradition! If you're like me then the everyday then traditions like jumping the broom, trashing the dress, and eating year old cake seem a little odd or old fashion to you, so start your own! Pick an anniversary, revamp both your dress and your grooms, go on an adventure or special date, and capture the moments! How great would it be to celebrate your matrimony then in the same clothes with a new feel! So everyone how you went from jumping the broom to jumping the fence into great creative and sustainable style! What Cherne' is wearingCreditsDress: Thrift Mobb
