I purchased a Otter Box for my Samsung Galaxy 10. My phone fell out of the Otter Box. One of the clips on the Box broke causing the phone to fall out of Otter Box. No damage to the phonebut the otter box is no lnonger trust worty to hold the phone securre.

You do realize that is stealing? Which is a punishable crime? Why don't you just actually pay to buy the case? If you get caught, you could get arrested...just so you know. Also, a lot of times, they do ask for photos and the case to be mailed back. Good luck trying to get over on that. Stupid cheapskates!

To be clear, this is 100% dishonest and STEALING. The warranty exists for people who have previously purchased an Otterbox and it broke. When people play the system like this to get free things that they don't pay for, it ends up ruining chances that people who paid for one are actually able to use their generous warranty for a replacement. Yep they required me to send my broken and defective case back to them The last thing I want to do is get a free box by being dishonest in getting a new one. My wife has her current phone in an otterbox that is in 'as new' condition. She is upgrading her phone and the old one won't fit. Will otterbox provide a new case in I return the old one so they can resell and thereby recycle it for the sake of the environment

This blog was published almost five years ago I’m not in control of changes in policies or even different steps on the site. I used this method because I’ve purchased OtterBox cases all my life and never took advantage of the warranty. I learned how to do it online and shared my real transaction with a screenshot. Anything after that (especially from five years ago) you have to follow the directions they’re giving you. Chatting or calling doesn’t seem bad if you still get a case out of it but that’s my opinion. Happy new year
