Everyday Fashion Icons: Chanelle & Chanda Reynolds of Double Portion

At our Melanin On Market event we had the pleasure of having Chanelle and Chanda Reynolds of Double Portion as our special guests. Together these twins have embraced their spiritual journey and developed an app to help others along the way. So we had our Social Media Expert and blogger, Andrea Scott sit down with the ladies to tell us more on their iconic journey to stand out and up for Christ!

How they started:

Initially, the idea for Double Portion started out as a blog. Similar to daily devotion posts. But the more they shared the idea with friends and family, the more feedback they received in favor of the idea. People loved the idea so much, they recommended that expand the ideas even more. Double Portion then blossomed into an app and clothing line.

What Makes Double Portion Unique?

The twins themselves are unique. There’s no one else out their like them. They were able to find their niche in this world and capitalize on what they already loved.

Advice for others in the field

Jump into what you love. You’ll never find the best time to start your business. They started their business as full timestudents. Chanelle even has a full time job. But that didn’t stop them from starting Double Portion.

What Makes then iconic?

Even though these the Reynolds’ sisters are twins, their styles couldn’t be more different. Chanda’s iconic look is a mix of streetwear and Christian pieces. Chanelle, mindful of her corporate setting, describes her look as a toned downversion of her sister’s. Chanelle opts for a urban & classic look.
